Hashem Asad is actively seeking to amass invaluable experience during his participation in the FIBA West Asia Super League (WASL) Final 8, a crucial step as he readies himself for the significant transition ahead. The young talent from Kuwait Club is set to depart for the United States next month, having solidified his commitment to join the ranks of NCAA D1 institution, Georgetown University. "I believe this experience will effectively equip me for the demands of Division 1 basketball," he remarked. Hashem, who celebrated his 18th birthday this past April, had also contemplated UMass Boston as a potential avenue. However, his ultimate choice was to align himself with the Hoyas, enticed by the university's emphasis on both athletic and academic excellence. "It unquestionably stood out as the optimal choice," affirmed the alumnus of the American School of Kuwait. "I opted for Georgetown primarily due to their exceptional coaching team and their holistic approach to nurturing both basketball prowess and scholarly achievements."
