Hashem Asad is preparing for an important basketball journey by seeking valuable experience in the FIBA West Asia Super League (WASL) Final 8. The talented youngster from Kuwait Club is set to leave for the United States next month, where he will be playing for NCAA Division 1 school Georgetown University. Having recently turned 18 in April, Asad had another option in UMass Boston, but he ultimately decided to become a part of the Georgetown Hoyas. The decision was driven by Georgetown's outstanding coaching staff and their emphasis on balancing athletics and academics. "The best option for me was Georgetown," said Asad, who is a product of the American School of Kuwait. "I was drawn to their excellent coaching staff and their commitment to both basketball and academics."
