It’s Saturday the 13th of May and the Georgetown Hoyas have still not announced the full coaching staff. Ed Cooley has been the head coach since March 22nd and no assistant coaches have been formally announced. While some have speculated that potential contract changeover on April 1st or May 1st may spark an official announcement, the socials and webpages of Georgetown Basketball are still familiarly silent.

This is not to say that we don’t have a pretty good idea of who is on the Georgetown Men’s Basketball coaching staff from the Georgetown Directory, it’s just worrisome that a holdover closed-door policy is rearing it’s head so obviously and early in this new Cooley Chapter.
- Ed Cooley, Head Coach
- Ivan Thomas, Associate Head Coach (former Assistant Coach at PC)
- Jeff Battle, Assistant Coach (former Associate Head Coach at PC)
- Brian Blaney, Assistant Coach (former Assistant Coach at PC)
- Walt Corbean, Director of Operations for Men’s Basketball (former Assistant Coach at BU)
- LaDontae Henton, Director of Player Development (former coordinator at PC)
- Kyron Cartwright, Special Assistant to the Head Coach (former Special Assistant at PC)
- Greg Fahey, Special Assistant to the Head Coach (former Assistant Coach at Siena)
Here are some Twitter posts from/about the expected assistants:

Admittedly these coaches are hard at work building a roster (for now and for the future), but it would be nice to see some bios.
Thank you to @HoyaCoachCooley , @coachivanthomas , and the rest of the coaching staff for hosting me on an amazing unofficial visit! #hoyasaxa #e4yall pic.twitter.com/j3toxb4DeL

It would also be nice to see some more scheduling news!

It will be the Hoyas 4th meeting vs American since the 2020 season and 3rd vs The Mount since 2018.
Note: 1st year AU coach Duane Simpkins hit a gw- floater as Maryland beat a ranked Hoyas team in the 1994 season opener. https://t.co/sOC4DqMGtP
For now, welcome, coaches! HOYA SAXA!
