No one expected that an NIL meet-and-greet event would happen in the middle of June 2022, but several supporters of the Georgetown Hoyas, as well as G3 Marketing and ProCamps, made that happen. On Saturday, June 11th, 2022, the Hoya faithful gathered for the second huge NIL fundraiser and had the privilege of meeting some of the new and familiar faces of the 2022-23 men’s basketball squad.

In the photo above, from left to right (skipping the three fans in front), it is Jay Heath, Brandon Murray in all black, Bradley Ezerwiro in plaid, Primo Spears in the sweater and destroyed denim, Ryan Mutombo with an unidentifiable baseball hat, Jordan Riley looking healthy, D’Ante Bass in the green rugby, Akok Akok peeking over freshman Denver Anglin, and with Wayne Bristol, Jr. and Dante Harris on the right.
The event was held at The Admiral in Dupont and hosted almost a dozen players, a few coaches, and at least one familiar Georgetown Basketball alum in Jerome “JYD” Williams.
Folks familiar with organizing the event told this humble lunch blog contributor that they exceeded their goal for raising funds and that there were about three-dozen donors for the NIL fund.

Above, it’s Riley, Spears, Heath, Bristol, Akok, Murray, and Ezewiro with one of the G3 representatives as host.
Fans and friends of the program gathered to enjoy food, drinks, a few speeches, question-and-answer sessions, and trivia. It appears that some gifts were given to donors of a certain level including a few signed basketballs. One quote that came out of the event was that the organizers continue to be “grateful to the large reservoir of supporters of Georgetown Basketball.” Surely, there will be more NIL events to come.
