A little over two months till college basketball season tips off! It’s time to start wildly speculating about the season, and that includes documenting what the various outlets offer in terms of predictions for your reigning BIG EAST Champion Georgetown Hoyas.
First, the good news — 5-star freshman Aminu Mohammed was selected to the @AthlonSports All-BIG EAST Third Team. Obviously we all have high hopes for his performance this year, so this was an indication that others have taken notice of his skillset as well. His inclusion on this pre-season roster is right and just, and congratulations to Aminu!
Now to continue through the lists, in terms of other Hoyas making the cut we have...
Wait, what the hell? Not a single other member of this Georgetown team cracked their fictional roster? That’s surprising and also rather insulting.
Willingness to overlook the other talent within the current group of players, particularly one 2021 BIG EAST Tournament MVP featured in the header image for this story (*cough* Dante Harris *cough*), makes no sense. Things like this are going to provide some prime bulletin board material among the members of a squad that were picked to finish last in the conference and defied expectations right up to the point where they were hoisting the Dave Gavitt Trophy in the rec room at Patrick Ewing’s house, sometimes referred to as Madison Square Garden.
