Jamorko Pickett got the start for the Detroit Pistons in NBA Summer League and showed the world some of what made him a fan-favorite for the Georgetown Hoyas.

Fans of the Hoyas are glad that Pickett is getting some overdue playing time and recognition. Scoring 18 points, Pickett shot 7-10 fields goals and made all four three-point attempts.

Pistons summer-league thoughts: Cade Cunningham’s 3-point shooting, Jamorko Pickett’s surprise and more | THEATHLETIC

At 6-foot-9, Pickett, who went undrafted, has some real intrigue. As you saw Friday, he can shoot the ball. He did it well in college, too, knocking down better than 37 percent of his triples in his final two collegiate seasons. Pickett is long and athletic. He can put the ball on the floor and score. One more performance like he had against the Knicks, and it wouldn’t surprise me one bit if Pickett got a training camp invitation to join Detroit and put himself in contention for the vacant two-way spot.

Patrick Waring captured a few clips.

Tyler Moorman also took a close look at Pickett’s performance.

The work is far from done for Pickett who is reportedly on an Exhibit 10 deal.

Hoyas fans can’t wait to see what comes next for Jamorko.
