Jamorko Pickett got the start for the Detroit Pistons in NBA Summer League and showed the world some of what made him a fan-favorite for the Georgetown Hoyas.

Jamorko Pickett finishes the Pistons' game against the Knicks with 18 points — on 70 percent shooting from the field and 100 percent shooting from 3 (both to lead all players). Also had a plus-11 box plus/minus, which trailed only Cade Cunningham and Saddiq Bey. #leaguehim pic.twitter.com/YLSM5jvFP4

Fans of the Hoyas are glad that Pickett is getting some overdue playing time and recognition. Scoring 18 points, Pickett shot 7-10 fields goals and made all four three-point attempts.
#Pistons J.D. DuBois on Jamorko Pickett: "I was really pleased with the way he's prepared, regardless of how many minutes or how many shots he gets."

Asked Saddiq Bey about Jamorko Pickett, a DC Premier alum, like Bey, and D.C. native: "I'm not surprised. I saw him do that in college (at Georgetown). He was a rival during college and it's good to see him doing that now."

At 6-foot-9, Pickett, who went undrafted, has some real intrigue. As you saw Friday, he can shoot the ball. He did it well in college, too, knocking down better than 37 percent of his triples in his final two collegiate seasons. Pickett is long and athletic. He can put the ball on the floor and score. One more performance like he had against the Knicks, and it wouldn’t surprise me one bit if Pickett got a training camp invitation to join Detroit and put himself in contention for the vacant two-way spot.

Tyler Moorman also took a close look at Pickett’s performance.
Nothing crazy is done by Pickett, but it's the little things he DID do that stand out to me here. Standing in the corner can lead to dejection or laziness, but here Pickett stays aware to floor and rotations of the defenders so he can slide into a open passing lane. #DetroitUp pic.twitter.com/YeDTgDAds7

Lastly, two great things come from this clip. Pickett takes advantage of his early success and makes his guy miss, squares up and knocked down 3️⃣. The #1 pick being this excited for a guy wanting a 2-way isn't everyday things either, that's culture. #DetroitUp pic.twitter.com/7HbzxPnGZP

Okay, okay.....one more!! In conclusion, give that man @JamorkoP1 his two-way! #DetroitUp pic.twitter.com/gUsCZ2wwQm

The work is far from done for Pickett who is reportedly on an Exhibit 10 deal.
Hoyas fans can’t wait to see what comes next for Jamorko.
