TRACKER: Latest on Hoyas and NBA Summer League Rosters (UPDATED)

While the Georgetown Hoyas were blanked in the NBA Draft for yet another year (since 2013), there is significant promise that several recent Hoyas, including Jamorko Pickett, Jahvon Blair, and Chudier Bile will join NBA Summer League rosters. The trio had several NBA pre-draft workouts.

However, the first news of an alum on a Vegas roster is a bit of a surprise—until you remember who else is on the Spurs. Kaleb Johnson played with the Hoyas from 2015-2019, and played for the Austin Spurs in the G League last year.

Also of note is Stephen Domingo is on the San Antonio summer roster. Domingo played two years under John Thompson III (2012-14).

Omer Yurtseven, who had a deal with the Miami Heat at the end of last year after a great G League performance, had his salary waived. It appears Yurtseven will still be on the Heat’s summer roster.

Of course, news of Mac McClung joining the Lakers on a tryout deal came to light on draft night. He is on LA’s summer roster.

NBA Summer League with all the teams will be 10 days, starting Sunday, August 8th. Four teams (Memphis, San Antonio, and two teams for the Utah Jazz) will compete in the Salt Lake City Summer League during August 3-6. The California Classic will be played August 3-4 and feature the Lakers, Kings, Warriors and Heat.

Chudier Bile will play with his hometown Denver Nuggets this summer. Jahvon Blair will play for the Milwaukee Bucks.

Jamorko Pickett signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Detroit Pistons.

Two games for the California Classic will be Tuesday and Wednesday at 8PM and 11PM ET. Omer Yurtseven and the Miami Heat will take on Mac McClung and the Los Angeles Lakers as part of the Sacramento Summer League on Tuesday at 8PM. The next day, the Head face the Warrios before the Lakers play the Kings.

The Salt Lake City Summer League will be played August 3, 4, and 6, and has the Spurs and the Jazz playing all three days.

The Las Vegas schedule starts Sunday, August 8th.
