It seems like a decade ago, but it was only a year when Ewing’s best highlights were taking over the internet for several days as part of #PatWeek celebrating Patrick Ewing by MSG Networks and the New York Knicks.

There were dozens of classic Georgetown and Knicks games broadcast on MSG that week, including some favorites that we tracked down on YouTube and linked to in the comments section.
“And at center, at 7 feet from Georgetown. Number 33 … PATRICK EWING!”

New York-area fans of the Georgetown Hoyas were able to catch an almost 30-minute interview with Patrick Ewing on MSG Networks as part of #PatWeek.
The interview came on MSG right before replays of the 1984 National Championship win over Houston and the 1985 win over Chris Mullin and St. John’s.
There was also a 17-minute special that aired and was released on YouTube.

Of course, what would #PatWeek be without a special on the 1994 Knicks playoff run.
And Ewing rivalry/friendship with Michael Jordan was in the news constantly due to a certain docu-series released at a similar time.
MSG and the Knicks clearly need to celebrate Patrick Ewing every year because 33 is forever.
