Well the matchups for the 2021 Gavitt Tipoff Games between teams form the BIG EAST and the Big Ten have been reported by Jon Rothstein and Georgetown is conspicuously absent.

Generally, the “Gavitt Tipoff Games [are] played on four consecutive days in the first full week of the college basketball campaign” and began in 2015 and are scheduled through 2022. Last year, the Gavitt Games were skipped due to COVID-19 scheduling issues, but Georgetown was expected to participate.
Georgetown has played in 4 games for this inter-conference matchup and had their first hiatus in 2017.

With each BIG EAST team expected to participate a minimum of six times, the Hoyas should expect to play in 2022, and potentially a make-up in the following year.
The Hoyas currently have 4 games on the 2021-22 schedule, in addition to the expected 20 BIG EAST games.

- hosting Texas Christian University on Saturday, December 18 (BIG EAST-Big 12 Battle)
- two games from USC, Saint Joseph’s, and San Diego State on November 25 and 26 (Paycom Wooden Legacy - Anaheim)
