Your Georgetown Hoyas are offering a Virtual Men’s Basketball Season Preview on November 4th at 6:30PM. While it may not quite be the Hoya Madness, Open Practice, or Blue & Gray Scrimmage for which the fans have been clamoring, but it’s a little taste of Hoya basketball and sure-as-hell worth you figuring your casual login to join in the discussion. Registration for the preview event is requested but the link has been posted at GUHoyas.com/watch
Tonight appears to have an action-packed agenda with Rick “Doc” Walker, Rich Chvotkin, and Patrick Ewing Jr., as well as appearances from Head Coach Patrick Ewing, Athletic Director Lee Reed, and Hoya Hoop Club President Mark Guerrera.
The event also promises interviews from fan-favorite BIG EAST Commentator John Fanta!
Great to catch up with Patrick Ewing today. “When I came back in 2017, we knew this was going to be a process. And we saw what is possible seven months ago, and that hard work does pay off. It was a dream come true. We’re overlooked again this season. That’s nothing new for us.” pic.twitter.com/OycrIGEzmy— John Fanta (@John_Fanta) October 21, 2021
Obviously this event is far better than zero preseason events. Other schools’ events have made some Georgetown fans envious—even a UConn event where the basket fixture was broken.
We see you GU Students! You give us no choice, there will be student seating behind both baskets for the season opener on Nov. 13!
