What’s interesting about this most recent Big East announcement is that Xavier is also on a covid pause of their own. The Musketeers last played on Jan. 10 before also seeing their last three games postponed.
Georgetown postpones another game due to positive test within the program. This time Xavier on Tuesday. This is the fourth straight game. #hoyas

Just as a frame of reference for how long this could last, No. 3 Villanova took the court last night after a covid related pause in the Wildcats program. The Wildcats went nearly a month - Dec. 23 to Jan. 19 - in between games.
The Hoyas last played on Jan. 9 at Syracuse and are currently scheduled to host Providence on Jan. 30.
Stay tuned as we will update this as new information becomes available.
