It looks like Moscow for Moose and Turkey for Mr. Wright.

Now-and-forever Georgetown Hoyas in Chris Wright and Greg Monroe each had some news of their ongoing careers come out today.

Chris Wright, of Dawg Talk fame, was recently welcomed by Afyon Belediyesi, a “Turkish professional basketball club based in Afyonkarahisar, Turkey” where the “club currently plays in the Basketbol Süper Ligi (BSL).”

Greg Monroe reportedly joined BC Khimki Moscow, a “Russian professional basketball team that is based in Khimki, Moscow Oblast” which “participates in the EuroLeague and the VTB United League.”

Coach Rimas Kurtinaitis told EuroLeague.net:

Monroe is an experienced player who spent many years in the NBA ... He is one of the few centers in the EuroLeague who can play with his back to the basket. We needed that kind of variety in our game. There are centers who play pick-and-roll, there are those who play with their backs to the basket. Greg is very good at rebounding, averaging 7-8 boards per game. I think we have put together a very strong frontline.

Best of luck to Chris and Greg, respectively. Stay safe!
