Tonight, at 6PM EST (5PM CST), the world will find out if the Hoyas will add a crown jewel in Aminu Mohammed to their solid recruiting Class of 2021. Also, a talented young man will pick a college.
The 5-star, 6’5” guard/wing from Nigeria, by way of Washington, DC and Missouri, has been pursued by many schools and, frankly, no one knows for sure which school he will chose.
Greenwood five-star senior Aminu Mohammed will decide where he will attend college Monday at 5 p.m. The News-Leader will have live coverage from the event. https://t.co/bKZPccf3YC

The announcement will covered live by Springfield News-Leader sports reporter Wyatt Wheeler on Twitter at 6PM EST. Casual Hoya has written several things about Aminu, but will hold off to avoid jinxing the situation further.
From NYHoya on Why Aminu Should Choose Georgetown:
For those of you who have (understandably) deprioritized paying attention to your Hoyas during the Covid-19 offseason, here’s a quick update. Patrick Ewing and the staff have been crushing it on the recruiting trail, with four studs already lined up for the Class of 2021: Jalin Billingsley, Jordan Riley, Ryan Mutombo, and Tyler Beard. This is a deep and talented group that should position your Hoyas well in the next couple of years.
This class is already a delicious ice cream sundae, but no sundae is complete without a cherry on top, and that cherry could very well be 5-star 6’4’’ wing, Aminu Mohammed, the young man who could give Georgetown one of the best recruiting classes in the whole damn country.

Our respected colleagues at Thompson’s Towel and Hilltop Hoops (formerly 24/7) have some further information on Aminu Mohammed. There are certainly plenty of rumors on Twitter, including some crystal balls pointing south, but no one has a definitive answer as to his destination!
Bobby, Nolan, and Howie discuss Aminu Mohammed in the latest episode of Kente Korner, along with some thoughts on last night’s game.
