After the BIG EAST released the rest of the conference schedule last week, fans were still anticipating whether all the games will be televised. Well, as long as members of the Georgetown Hoyas faithful have FS1, CBS Sports Network, and broadcast channels of FOX and CBS, they can relax.

Said another way, it does not appear that any FOX Regional Sports Networks will be televising any Georgetown or BIG EAST games. Viewing games on RSNs may have been tricky for some fans, such as this humble blog contributor in Philadelphia, with the bars closed and their satellite TVs dark. It is unclear if SNY or MASN will carry any Georgetown games, but it could be considered superfluous.
Georgetown has only four games on CBSSN, while CBS will pick up the Georgetown at UConn game on March 6th. It appears there are a couple weekend games in January and February that may potentially be flexed from FS1 to FOX, but the majority of the games will be on FS1. One disappointment on the schedule is that Georgetown’s midweek visit to Villanova on February 17 will only be carried by CBSSN. Perhaps the Hoyas’ first visit to the renovated Finneran Pavilion—hopefully without fans—may slip under the radar for a win.
Time-wise, there’s currently only one game (Creighton) with a late 9PM start time. One can imagine that days on the full conference schedule with multiple games broadcast on FS1 and GU has a central time zone opponent, such as January 20th at Marquette or February 3rd at Creighton, might unfortunately be pushed later in the evening.

Press Release from GUHoyas:
WASHINGTON – The BIG EAST Conference has announced television designations and some tipoff times for the remainder of the Georgetown men’s basketball regular season, presented by MedStar Health. Due to expected challenges created by the pandemic, the BIG EAST and its institutions scheduled a concentrated group of 23 conference games from December 11-23 as a plan against possible scheduling challenges later in the season. Georgetown has already opened BIG EAST play and sits at 1-1 in the conference. The Hoyas will head on the road for previously scheduled contests at St. John’s (Dec. 20) and Seton Hall (Dec. 23). The makeup date for Georgetown’s postponed home matchup against UConn, originally scheduled for December 13, will be announced at a later date.
