It appears that the Georgetown Hoyas will host the Coppin State Eagles on December 8th, 2020 as part of the non-conference schedule.

The Baltimore school released their schedule today saying “...the Eagles will appear on National Television when they play Georgetown University at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C.”
It is unclear if this press release is based on new news or the traditional home court.
Coppin State is coached by Juan Dixon and are currently ranked no. 340 at kenpom.com. They are predicted to finish in the middle of the MEAC standings.

Regarding the rest of Georgetown’s schedule, there are still rumors persisting that Radford will be the remaining out-of-conference matchup. However, Radford’s dance card looks pretty full with seven non-conference games before 20 Big South conference games.
Even if Georgetown fills a small gap in early December for Radford, one wonders if playing a team that travels that much is a good idea.
The rumor of Radford visiting Georgetown as the presumptive last non-conference game frightens me. Radford is travelling quite a bit. Even that first week of December seems too active. https://t.co/xGyR2twW5i pic.twitter.com/MRBMr36P28

Other recent schedule news for Georgetown includes probably dates for West Virginia and UMBC.

The GUHoyas schedule has not been updated yet, and Patrick Ewing was unwilling to discuss his non-conference schedule last week at BIG EAST Media Day.
Ewing says that Georgetown is still working on completing the non-conference schedule.

It’s unclear if Coppin State’s press release included “Capital One Arena” as an assumption or based on new news. No one knows definitively if games will be at McDonough or Capital One Arena, but folks in the athletic department have said that McDonough would be “less expensive” and seems like the likely option.
Here’s the current best guess at Georgetown’s 2020-21 schedule:
- Nov. 25 UMBC @ GEORGETOWN
2020 Wooden Legacy- One other non-conference game?
- Dec. 6 WEST VIRGINIA @ GEORGETOWN, BIG EAST-Big 12 Battle (expected home)
Gavitt Game- Dec. 8 COPPIN STATE @ GEORGETOWN
- Dec. 11 VILLANOVA @ GEORGETOWN
- Dec. 13 CONNECTICUT @ GEORGETOWN
- Dec. 20 GEORGETOWN @ ST JOHN’S
- Dec. 23 GEORGETOWN @ SETON HALL
- 16 more BIG EAST games, starting January 1, 2021
- GEORGETOWN @ SYRACUSE (away) on a Saturday in January...
