Fans of the Georgetown Hoyas saw some interesting new gameday social media posts and promotions on Wednesday, as the Hoyas handled the UMBC Retrievers. Plenty can be said about the game and the players, but Georgetown got the ball rolling on what Hoyas fans hope to be a special relationship with another tough, gritty team.

Of course, losing Coach John Thompson Jr. a few short months ago surely made this game and pregame rituals extra emotional.
