Today is the first day for the “live period” in recruiting during the school year and Patrick Ewing and his coaching staff appear to be headed in full force to see the Georgetown Hoyas’ top-priority 2020 recruit R.J. Davis.
Davis is a 4-star, top-100ish point guard out of Archbishop Stepinac in White Plains, New York.
R.J. Davis’20 @ariidavis_ of @step_basketball & @NYRhoops will have both #Pittsburgh & #Georgetown coming full staff today at Stepinac on the 1st day of the live period.

While Pitt appears to have an audience at his home tonight, the word is that Georgetown will visit the Davis home next week.

Today: Pittsburgh
Tuesday: Marquette
Wednesday: North Carolina
Next Week: Georgetown https://t.co/a5TuFbufzd
Ewing and the staff have been giving Davis the full-court press for quite some time—in a very similar way to how the coaches handled recent commit Terrance Williams (the Hoyas’ newest recruiter, too!).
Full staffs from Georgetown & Pitt are expected in today for Rivals150 guard RJ Davis; Pitt’s Jeff Capel will complete an in-home visit with him this evening, a source tells @Rivals @PantherLair https://t.co/C1tucW8sz1

Casual Hoya’s most recent update on R.J. Davis was when he took an official visit to Georgetown in June and had already been heard adopting very Hoya-like ideas about preparation for the future.
Additionally, Georgetown will be represented on a Thursday viewing of 2021 #4-ranked Paolo Banchero (6’8” F)...
Just spoke with five-star forward Paolo Banchero, tells @Stockrisers the following: Tennessee and Washington will be in tomorrow, Kentucky will be in Wednesday, Georgetown on Thursday.

The Seattle product, Banchero, currently has his five official visits scheduled for “North Carolina (Sept. 27), Kentucky (Oct. 11), Duke (Oct. 17), Tennessee (Oct. 25) and Gonzaga (Jan. 18),” but maybe we see him at Midnight Madness.
UPDATE 9/10:
Ewing and Co. are in Connecticut to see Hassan Diarra.
Georgetown’s Patrick Ewing and an assistant were in this morning for Top-50 senior Hassan Diarra, a source told @Stockrisers.
