Today is the first day for the “live period” in recruiting during the school year and Patrick Ewing and his coaching staff appear to be headed in full force to see the Georgetown Hoyas’ top-priority 2020 recruit R.J. Davis.

Davis is a 4-star, top-100ish point guard out of Archbishop Stepinac in White Plains, New York.

While Pitt appears to have an audience at his home tonight, the word is that Georgetown will visit the Davis home next week.

Ewing and the staff have been giving Davis the full-court press for quite some time—in a very similar way to how the coaches handled recent commit Terrance Williams (the Hoyas’ newest recruiter, too!).

Casual Hoya’s most recent update on R.J. Davis was when he took an official visit to Georgetown in June and had already been heard adopting very Hoya-like ideas about preparation for the future.

Additionally, Georgetown will be represented on a Thursday viewing of 2021 #4-ranked Paolo Banchero (6’8” F)...

The Seattle product, Banchero, currently has his five official visits scheduled for “North Carolina (Sept. 27), Kentucky (Oct. 11), Duke (Oct. 17), Tennessee (Oct. 25) and Gonzaga (Jan. 18),” but maybe we see him at Midnight Madness.

UPDATE 9/10:

Ewing and Co. are in Connecticut to see Hassan Diarra.
