After visiting campus this week, former University of Central Florida guard, Terrell Allen, has committed to play for Patrick Ewing and the Georgetown Hoyas this upcoming season.
“I would like to announced that I will be coming home to play my final year of eligibility as a graduate student at Georgetown University,” Allen tweeted.
Allen is immediately eligible.
A graduate of DeMatha High in DC, Allen initially committed to Drexel and then transferred to UCF after his freshman season. Allen started in all of UCF’s games this season averaging 6.7 points and 4.3 assists, leading the team with 43 steals and shot 40 percent from beyond the arc.
Will hold off on doing a full Top 25 for next season until the NBA Draft process is over, but hard to see Georgetown not making the cut. Four starters back plus Omer Yurtseven and Terrell Allen.— Jon Rothstein (@JonRothstein) April 25, 2019
Georgetown lands UCF grad transfer Terrell Allen. Nice pick-up for Patrick Ewing. 6-3 guard averaged 6.7 PPG, 4.3 APG last season and gives the Hoyas a veteran backcourt presence on top of Akinjo/McClung/Mosely. Allen is from Upper Marlboro, MD so he'll be close to home. #Hoyas https://t.co/x5IgB31hQi— John Fanta (@John_Fanta) April 25, 2019
All of Georgetown’s scholarships for next season are now taken:
Welcome to the Hilltop, Terrell Allen!
