Preseason picks for All-BIG EAST First and Second teams, Freshman of the Year, and Player of the Year followed the Coaches’ Poll. Seton Hall’s Myles Powell earned preseason POY, with the First Team including Marquette’s Marcus Howard. Georgetown fans were happy to see last season’s FoY James Akinjo on the Preseason Second Team.

The coaches have the Hoyas finishing sixth in the BIG EAST:
