Per Syracuse.com, 6’10” Class of ‘18 center Osun Osunniyi will announce his college destination on Monday. Osunniyi will choose among Georgetown, Syracuse and St. Bonaventure.
Osunniyi is an under-rated, under-the-radar recruit, but he emerged as an intriguing low-post prospect this past year at Putnam Science Academy.
Osunniyi committed to LaSalle a year ago. He then decided to spend a prep school year at Putnam to add some bulk to his slender frame.
Osunniyi reportedly visited Georgetown this week, and possibly was the recruit receiving a tour of the Capital One Arena per the below:
When you’re here to cover the #TBLightning and you see #Georgetown HC Patrick Ewing showing a recruit around Capital One Arena.

Georgetown’s scholarship table seems to be relatively full at the moment, so perhaps the school is looking for a replacement for Jessie Govan, who has two weeks to determine whether or not he will be remaining in the NBA Draft.
