With a top point guard being perhaps the lone missing piece for next year’s squad, Patrick Ewing and the staff are making a strong recruiting push for 5-Star point guard Ashton Hagans. Hagans, the No. 1 player in the state of Georgia, recently decommitted from UGA and is considering reclassifying to the Class of 2018.

The recruiting pitch to Hagans is simple:
Have a starting job and an all-conference front-court waiting for him if he's moving up to 2018.

An all-conference frontcourt? Don’t just take that from us, hear it from the mouth of Marquette coach Steve Wojciechowski, one of Georgetown’s top competitors for Hagans:
Wojciechowski: "The problems they present start in the front court. I happen to think that Govan and Derrickson is the best front court in the Big East."
