Greg Malinowski Commits to Georgetown

William & Mary transfer Greg Malinowski has committed to Georgetown, per multiple sources and Hoya Nation. Malinowski, a 6’6” SG from Chantilly, Virginia, averaged 7.7 points per game at William & Mary last season, and shot 40% from three. Malinowski played on local AAU squad Team Takeover DC. Per the Daily Press, he will sit out the 2017-18 season and have one more year of eligibility.

Started the final 24 games of the season for W&M and appeared in all 31 contests … Ranked fourth in the CAA in 3-point percentage (40.0) … Ranked second on the team hitting 52 3-pointers … Fifth on the team in scoring at 7.7 points per game, adding 3.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists per contest … Finished the season with shooting percentages of 41.5 percent from the field (86-of-207) and 80 percent (16-of-20) at the free throw line … Produced 11 double-digit scoring performances, including a season-high 20 points against Milligan (12/16) … Knocked down 4-of-7 from 3-point range, finishing with 16 points and seven rebounds in the Gold Rush Game vs. Charleston (2/11) … Tallied 14 points to go with six rebounds at Central Michigan (11/29) … Hit 4-of-5 from 3-point range to score 14 points at Hampton (12/3) … Posted 14 points on 5-of-6 from the field and 3-of-4 from 3-point range vs. Savannah State (12/19) … Tallied 11 points an seven rebounds vs. Elon (1/5) and added 12 points and eight rebounds at Charleston (1/14) … Drilled four 3-pointers to score 12 points with four rebounds and four assists at Towson (2/4) … Poured in 14 points against Northeastern (2/2) … Dished out a career-high four assists at Delaware (2/18) … Posted a career-high three steals in the season opener vs. Bridgewater (11/12).

With the addition of Malinowski, the Hoyas have one scholarship remaining to fill for 2017-18.
