New head coach Patrick Ewing, along with a still-unclear assistant staff, has been working hard to find quality players who will round out the roster for next year and beyond. This commitment is a solid pickup, as Dickerson was an integral part of the squad that won South Dakota their first-ever Summit League regular season title this spring.

Per the post that first announced his planned visit, "Dickerson, a 6’1” point guard from Queens, NY, averaged 10 points and 3 assists per game for the Coyotes last season after transferring to South Dakota from Iowa. He led the Coyotes in assists and was the team’s third-leading scorer."
