With a final announcement expected on Saturday, transfer guard Mark Alstork has trimmed his list to four schools. Unfortunately for the Hoyas (and their fans), Georgetown was not included in the final group. He had—officially and unofficially—visited a half dozen schools over the past few weeks, most recently stopping by Louisville just yesterday. As pictured below, his final four is comprised of Illinois, South Carolina, LSU and Pitt.
It’s disappointing, but as always, he’s a good kid and we wish him well.
The Hoyas will already add Chris Sodom, Antwan Walker, Jahvon Blair and grad transfer Trey Dickerson for next season, while Coach Ewing and company are still pursuing several other recruits and have extended a number of offers in recent weeks. If you’ve lost track of who’s in and who’s out, this post may help to refresh your memory regarding other current targets.
