Per North Pole Hoops , Georgetown is recruiting former Oregon State point guard Malcolm Duvivier. Duvivier, who sat out last season due to “personal reasons” , will graduate from Oregon State in June and will be immediately eligible to play next season. Along with the Hoyas, Duvivier is being pursued by Rice, Akron and Niagara.
The recent hiring of NBA Hall of Famer, Patrick Ewing at Georgetown certainly brings in cache and great intrigue.
To add, Georgetown was Malcolm’s favourite school since childhood. He didn’t get recruited by them but he is now.
Duvivier averaged 6.6 points, 2.2 rebounds and 2.0 assists throughout his three-year Oregon State career.
He averaged career highs in virtually every statistical category as a sophomore during the 2014-15 season, the first under Wayne Tinkle. He took on primary ball-handling duties that year and manned the top of the Beavers' 2-3 zone with two-time Pac-12 defensive player of the year Gary Payton II. Duvivier was second on the team with 10.7 points per game and first in the team with 3.5 assists per game.
