PODCAST: Basketball in the DMV

NCAA Basketball: Jacksonville at Georgetown Brad Mills-USA TODAY Sports

Hi. My name is Ben and I am starting a new podcast covering college hoops, “Basketball in the DMV.” Catchy, I know.

Now, you’ve listened to (or ignored) my previous podcasts, which we typically published through my “Locked on Wizards” podcast. This will be a standalone podcast — and one that I’m hoping listeners and fans of the Georgetown program choose to help support via Patreon

The plan: Two podcasts per week. Expect interviews with players, coaches and college basketball insiders. There will be talk about other programs in town, but considering how much attention I’ve paid the Hoyas over the years, I don’t think you’ll be wanting for coverage. Each episode may vary in length depending on guests and availability but assume between 30-75 minutes per.

Now, this is where you come in. The content is free. Listen as you desire and if you wish to support this project, the suggested donation is $4 per month. There's a broader plan in the works starting in January, but for now, I wanted to get this started/gauge interest with the podcast.

The hope is there is indeed enough interest to get us through the season. As for which teams I cover, I can straight up be bribed. Easy for me to primarily focus on or do nothing but talk about Georgetown if that’s how the support via Patreon flows. For now, I’ll sprinkle the love around town and see what happens.

Below is the link to the first episode and episode notes involving the Hoyas. Enjoy and thanks for your time.
