Class of 2018 PG Mac McClung has Committed to Georgetown

Rutgers decommit had been previously pursued by the Hoyas

Yes, what is a Hoya.
Ben Standig (2017)

What a weekend on the hilltop! As first reported on twitter by Hoya Report, 3-Star PG Mac McClung (3-Star/Gate City, Va./Team Loaded) has committed to Georgetown.

The dynamic guard had been pursued by the Hoyas previously, initially receiving an offer from the school back in late June, and the staff picked up where they left off following McClung’s decommitment from Rutgers nine days ago. Coach Ewing and the entire crew went to visit the McClung family in their home last weekend.

The 2018 recruiting class got off to a late start, but adding such a talented point guard on top of Grayson Carter (SF) and Josh LeBlanc (F), who also committed this weekend just prior to Hoya Madness, does much more than simply fill out the roster. Georgetown now has the 3rd best recruiting class in the Big East, the 28th best in the nation (h/t @becb_sbn), and this is only going to push them higher. The Hoyas’ outlook for coming seasons is suddenly looking much brighter.

Hoya Saxa and welcome to Georgetown, Mr. McClung!
