A bit of interesting recruiting news this morning as Class of 2017 SG Tyler Foster has decommitted from Georgetown. Foster, a Maryland product who committed to the Hoyas over a year ago, had been recruited by VCU and is likely to garner interest among the usual smattering of DMV programs.
Though anytime a recruit decommits might raise some eyebrows among the Hoya faithful, there are likely two reasons for his decision: 1) Foster may have been recruited by one of the recently departed assistant coaches and wanted to reopen his recruitment after the staff shakeup, or 2) Georgetown's court still lacks any distinguishable kente cloth pattern on it which has impacted its ability to recruit.
Given the fact that Foster himself retweeted a GLOBAL PHENOMENON tweet hinting at the latter leaves me with no other conclusion.
Tyler Foster Retweeted you
26m: Might want to get that kente on the court ASAP. #MakeGeorgetownKenteAgain MT @EvanDaniels: '17 Tyler Foster has decommitted from Georgetown.
Reaction from some valuable members of the fanbase:
I personally didn't like Foster at all. At ALL. Too slight and way too passive for my taste. Was eaten when I saw him at EYBL. Didn't like.

That's a mutual split if I've ever seen one. Worth the gamble but he wasn't cutting it, I'd think
