Georgetown Assistant Tavaras Hardy Leaves for Georgia Tech

Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

Per reports, Hoyas assistant coach Tavaras Hardy has decided to join Josh Pastner's staff at Georgia Tech.

Hardy, who came to Georgetown from Northwestern, had been a member of Georgetown's coaching staff for the past three years, and was largely responsible for the recruitment of Paul White and L.J. Peak.

The departure of Hardy comes on the heels of former assistant coach Kevin Sutton's decision to join Kevin Stalling's staff at Pitt, and leaves JT3 with two large holes to fill on his bench alongside Kevin Broadus and Director of Basketball Operations Patrick Ewing, Jr.

More on possible additions to Georgetown's staff in the upcoming days.
