BIG EAST Conference Annual Summer Meeting Kicks Off Today

The BIG EAST Conference’s annual summer meeting kicks off today in Ponte Vedra, Fla., with top execs from Fox Sports expected to attend and a major focus for discussions to be on the continued growth of the Fox/Big East partnership.

Commissioner Val Ackerman will also lead planning sessions with the ten member school’s athletic directors, senior woman administrators and men’s and women’s basketball head coaches on ​officiating, student-athlete welfare, the BIG EAST Digital Network, the site of the 2017 women's basketball conference tournament and potential new initiatives.

This year will also focus on plans for the 2017 men’s basketball conference tournament in NYC, as it brings reigning NCAA National Champion Villanova to the World’s Most Famous Arena and will mark the BIG EAST Tournament’s 35^th Anniversary at MSG.
