In an effort to improve his chances of playing basketball professionally, Georgetown guard D'Vauntes Smith-Rivera will play in the 2016 Portsmouth Invitational. A number of Hoyas have played in the Portsmouth Invitational, most recently Jabril Trawick who is currently playing in the NBA D-League.
In his four productive years at Georgetown, DSR made more three-pointers than anyone else. He finished fifth in all-time Hoyas scoring and is Georgetown's only member of the 1,800 points, 500 rebounds, and 350 assists club.
