Sam Cunliffe, a 6’6” Class of 2016 wing who announced he was transferring from Arizona State earlier this month, will visit Georgetown.
ASU transfer Sam Cunliffe is considering Kansas, Georgetown & Seattle, he told Scout/FOX Sports. Visits Georgetown the 30th & KU on Jan 2nd.— Evan Daniels (@EvanDaniels) December 23, 2016
Cunliffe was Arizona State’s starting small forward and averaged 9.5 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 25 minutes per game. He shot 35 percent overall and 41 percent from three.
Cunliffe is a Seattle native (like former Hoya Josh Smith), and was a 4-star prospect out of high school and the 41st ranked player in ESPN’s Top 100. The Hoyas have a clear need in the frontcourt next season due to the departures of recent transfer Isaac Copeland and the graduation of star wing Rodney Pryor.
