Your chance to taste 1984 Championship Excellence! The Hoya Hoop Club is hosting its second annual Kenner League Nike Pro-City Jabbo Kenner League Picnic this Saturday from 1 to 3.

Of particular note to the foodie aspirations of readers of this blog, the food will be catered by none other than Hoya legend and National College Basketball Tournament Champion Michael Graham's new restaurant, Michael G's BBQ Backyard Grill, Inc.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $8 for children under 12, and most importantly, deadline for registration is mid-afternoon today. Register here.  Or, just show up on Saturday.

Come out and support your Hoyas and get a proper Kenner lunch for you to document of pulled pork sandwiches, hotdogs, baked beans, and sweet tea. Or roll the dice at the snack bar. If it's open. Your choice is clear.

With the ongoing construction of the Thompson Center, the picnic will be held on the lawn and beach volleyball space near Wolfington Hall (aka the Jesuit Residence) and parking will be free in the Southwest Quadrangle parking lot.

The Nike Pro-City League (formerly the Kenner League) is among the top summer college basketball leagues in the country and is annually held at Georgetown, affording basketball fans a chance to see current, future and former college basketball players competing head-to-head over the summer.

And, many Hoyas are scheduled to be in action on the 25th:

1:00 p.m.: Higher Level (featuring sophomores Tre Campbell and Trey Mourning)
2:20 p.m.: A. Wash Associates (featuring senior D'Vauntes Smith-Rivera and sophomore Paul White)
3:40 p.m.: The Tombs (featuring freshmen Jessie Govan and Kaleb Johnson) and Clyde's (featuring sophomores Isaac Copeland and LJ Peak)
6:20 p.m.: Hoop Magic All Stars (featuring freshman Marcus Derrickson and senior Riyan Williams) and Oohs & Aahhs (featuring sophomore transfer Akoy Agau)

And if all of this is not enough, one lucky person in attendance will win two premier tickets to this year's home game against Syracuse!
