Fresh off their thrilling OT win over Creighton in the Big East Championship, your fighting Georgetown Hoyas men's soccer team is headed to the 2015 NCAA Championship as the #3 overall seed. The Hoyas are on the top line after a season that saw them get off to an 0-2-1 start in their non-conference schedule before rattling off 15 straight wins, including an undefeated conference slate and that run to the Big East Championship.
The Hoyas begin their run to Kansas City, Sunday the 22nd at Shaw Field, where they'll host the winner of Hofstra vs. Lehigh. If the Hoyas advance to the Elite 8, they could potentially square off against preseason #1 UCLA, whom the Hoyas knocked off earlier this year and has since gone on a pretty dramatic slide to finish 10-8-1; or they could face the hated Syracuse Orange, who enter the tournament at 13-5-3 and the #6 overall seed.
