2014 NBA Draft Open Thread: Markel Starks is an American Hero

It's the NBA Draft!  All of the Mock Drafts have been mocked, and now all that is left is for the teams to finally pick the players. For Hoyas fans, the proceedings of tonight's 2014 NBA Draft center around the hope that point guard and American hero Markel Starks will hear his named called in the late second round.

Starks has worked out for a number of teams in the past couple of months, including the New York Knicks, Phoenix Suns, Detroit Pistons and the Washington Wizards.  His workouts have been impressive and Starks has soared from out of the top 100 Draft prospects to a #72 ranking per Draft Express.

Starks hopes to join the long list of Hoyas who have been drafted in the NBA, a group so impressive that Georgetown was named the as the number two program in all the land in producing the best pros in the modern Draft era in ESPN's "Path to the Draft" series.
