Document Your NIT: Pictures from Georgetown's win over West Virginia at McDonough

Our mighty Georgetown Hoyas took down the fighting Huggy Bears or West Virginia on Tuesday night and I was there to document the experience in a raucous McDonough Memorial Gymnasium.

As everyone knows by now, Tuesday night, D'Vauntes Smith-Rivera, Markel Starks, and Jabril Trawick led the Hoyas to a feel-good (or at least feel-better) 77-65 win over West Virginia in the First Round of the NIT. The circus was in town at Verizon Center so the game was forced into McDonough. The result was awesome.

I've since watched the replay of the game on ESPN3 and the atmosphere translated pretty well on TV, but it was really awesome being in the arena for the game. The crowd was up and loud the whole game and created an actual homecourt advantage. It sucks that we got relegated to the NIT this season, but this was a really great day in an otherwise downer of a season.

I stopped taking pictures once the game started so if anyone else was there and has pictures, send them my way (chris@sbnation.com) and I'll add them to the gallery. Also, share your thoughts and feelings on the gameday experience at McDonough in the comments.

Special thanks to Steve Alleva and Mike Wang for the work getting my awesome tickets. You guys are the best.
