NBC Sports' Rob Dauster has consistently ranked the Hoyas in his Top 25 each week on NBC's College Basketball Talk, and last night he was at Verizon to witness, among other things, the team wearing "I Can't Breathe" shirts during warmups, Jack the Bulldog on a skateboard (must-see GIF), and an animated "Jayhawk Hunt" tifo.
Naturally, THE GLOBAL PHENOMENON asked him his thoughts on a Georgetown team that is now 5-3 after losses to Wisconsin, Butler and Kansas:
"I really, really like them. Peak's scoring is a huge boost, and Isaac Copeland is going to be an absolute star in two years. Second-best team in the Big East, IMO, and top 20ish nationally. They almost beat Kansas with DSR having an off-night.
The only issue is Josh Smith defensively. He gets TORCHED in pick and roll actions. They might want to think about playing a lot more zone. Just let him stand around the rim."
So there you go Hoyas fans. RELAX about the 5-3 start, this team is going places.
And where we're going, we don't need roads.
