Sleeping with the Enemy: The Islanders of Texas A&M - Corpus Christi

Your Undefeated Juggernaut Georgetown Fighting Hoyas look to extend its winning streak out of the gate to a whopping two games against Texas A&M - Corpus Christi on Tuesday night, and we've unearthed someone who actually knows something about the Islanders to help us quench our never-ending thirst for knowledge about Georgetown's opponents. Special thanks to Shaun Maeder for helping us out, and you can find him on the twitters @UNOPrivatr.  Let's do this.

Tell me something interesting about Texas A&M - Corpus Christi because I can tell you that no one reading this knows a damn thing about it.
It really begins and ends with the fact that their campus is an actual island (hence the nickname Islanders.) I mean, how gorgeous is this?

2) Who on the Islanders is going to cause the Hoyas problems on the court?
Guard John Jordan (5-10 Sr.) isn't a great shooter, but he is crazy athletic and explosive. He averaged 14.5 points, 5.4 assists, and 4.5 rebounds per game last season. Here he is on the *receiving end* of an in-game alley-oop dunk.

Rashawn Thomas (6-7 So.) scored more than 10 points a game as a freshman and figures to be a key scorer this year. I'm very interested to see Ehab Amin (6-3 Fr.) out of Egypt. He turned lots of heads on the Pan African team in the Nike Global Challenge this summer.

3) Where do you see the Islanders finishing in the Southland Conference this season?  Who gets the bid to the Dance?
Over at MidMajorMadness.com, I predicted the Islanders to finish in fourth place in the Southland. Last year they shocked a lot of people by winning 14 league games and finishing in second place. I think they will be every bit as good as they were last year, I just really like all the teams at the top of the league this year. I think when all is said and done, Stephen F. Austin will prevail over strong challenges from Sam Houston State, Northwestern State, and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.

4) What is your go-to order at a Mexican restaurant?
I live in New Orleans, so to be honest Mexican is usually not high on the list of dining out options for me. I will occasionally cook seasoned steak tacos at home, though.  If I wanted a solid meal in New Orleans, I'll go with the seafood gumbo at Mandina's.

5) What are your thoughts on what occurs at the minute and a half mark of this video?

Oh, like you haven't dressed like a zombie and done the Thriller dance with a bunch of buddies..........you haven't? Moving on...

6) Since it's never too early for a Final Four prediction, bring it.
I have family ties to Wisconsin, so my heart joins my head in thinking Bo Ryan and the Badgers have a great shot at returning to the Final Four this year. Obviously, Kentucky and Duke are loaded and should be considered favorites. Let's round it out with Arizona. Wow, from a guy who enjoys and covers Mid-Majors, that's depressing.

7) What's the best show on TV right now?
Wait, you're telling me things other than sports come on television?

8) Final score prediction?
Even though it's their first game, I'd be a bit surprised if TAMUCC gets run off the floor. I think they hang around for a while before eventually falling. Georgetown 79, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi 65.
