Thursday Night
Wizards vs. Magic final score: 3 things we learned in Washington's closer-than-expected victory - Bullets Forever
Otto Porter had 4 points on 1-3 shooting and 2-2 from the line. He added a rebound and 3 steals in 18 minutes. Otto dealt with some foul trouble and finished with 5 fouls. He did show good energy on the defensive end however and Randy Wittman had him on the floor for defensive purposes late in the game. It's clear that Otto is going to be important for the Wizards this year.
Washington Wizards vs Orlando Magic Game Coverage, Results, Highlights And More | Oct 30, 2014 | NBA Scores
The Wizards topped the Magic 105-98 in Orlando for their first win of the season. They return home to face the Bucks on Saturday night.
Pistons vs. Timberwolves final score: Detroit drops second game in second night, 97-91 - Detroit Bad Boys
The Detroit Pistons lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves 97-91 in Minnesota. Greg Monroe served the second and final game of his two game suspension. The 0-2 Pistons will welcome him back at home on Saturday night against Brooklyn.
Elsewhere, Oklahoma City's Russell Westbrook broke his hand and will be out for 4-6 weeks. Already missing Kevin Durant until at least lat November, the Thunder are suddenly a team without much depth. We'd like to suggest two very beloved point guards who would certainly be happy (and capable) to help out.

For what it's worth, Chris appears to be taking the season off from professional basketball after spending last season in France, but he does have a new blog, The Hardwood Aquarium, about his life that you should check out. Markel is playing for a team in Italy. Austin Freeman is also playing this season in Italy on a team with Jonny Flynn.
Friday Night
Three former Hoyas are in action Friday night.
Grizzlies at Pacers - October 31, 2014, 7:00 PM ET - NBA.com
Roy Hibbert and the depleted Pacers host the Memphis Grizzlies.
Hibbert gave the Pacers the spark they needed Wednesday, scoring 22 points with eight rebounds and seven blocks in a 103-91 victory over Philadelphia. The 7-foot-2 center said he's simply trying to play an effective role with so many key players out. "It's not necessarily taking all the shots, it's just playing with force, trying to get offensive rebounds, trying to keep loose balls alive and playing defense to the best of your ability," Hibbert said. "Then everybody else will fall in line."
76ers at Bucks - October 31, 2014, 8:30 PM ET - NBA.com
Henry Sims, Hollis Thompson, and the not-very-good 76ers travel to Milwaukee to face a young, but improving Bucks squad.
