Breakdown:
DePaul has finished last in the Big East for 6 straight seasons. The last season DePaul didn't finish last was in 2008 when the Blue Demons finished T-12th with 6 BE wins - which is more than they accrued in the next 4 years combined. DePaul loses 4 year starters Brandon Young and Cleveland Melvin (was suspended during BE play and was kicked off of the team). DePaul still has 2 nice pieces in Garett Jr and Haliton IV, but outside of those two there's not much to write home about for DePaul.
Coach Purnell is banking on 1 transfer and 2 JUCOs who are coming back to their Chicago roots to make a difference next year. Henry barely played at Illinois but was a top 100 recruit back in 2011. Stimage and Simpson are two JUCO players who are from the Chicago area and hope to give a boost to the hometown team. Darrick Wood is a 3pt specialist who originally committed to St. John's back in the day but was not going to qualify so went the JUCO route instead before finally surfacing at DePaul.
