Distract Yourself from Basketball with MEAT

Dc_meat_week_logo_with_trademark_medium

We all know that this season is heading swiftly toward the flaming dumpster outside, and this saddens everyone (especially Scott). But do not despair, because we are on the cusp of the greatest week of the year (especially given the state of the BET for the foreseeable future) – MEAT WEEK 2014!!

The DC part of this national phenomenon is organized by a number of your fellow Hoyas, and we would love as many Casualties as possible to partake of some OR ALL of the BBQ glories that lie ahead. Events are taking place around the area (note the Monday night gathering at Hill Country – an excellent opportunity to slather yourself with sauce and fill your belly with beef and pork, ahead of the drubbing we will then receive from Nova). In additional gratuitous plugging, your humble SirHoya will be hosting the opening even at Urban Bar-B-Que on Sunday evening in Rockville – would love to see you there!

Hope you can sample some of this magical occasion. The instructions are simple, elegant and timeless: EAT MEAT. REPEAT.

(And lest I incur the wrath of the proprietor of this here lunch blog – please document like your life depended on it…)
