I know absolutely nothing about High Point basketball, but after watching the game last week live from the Phonebooth, this was the song that was playing through my mind at half time. Hopefully we avoid another first half debacle this week.

Who's excited for a 9 PM tip-off against a school located in the Furniture Capital of the World? Dance the night away!

I, like the rest of the student body, am currently scrambling to finish the 20 assignments that every one of my professors set to be due on Thursday. This means that I won't be thinking about High Point too much until around 5 PM on Thursday. However, I did notice that High Point hails from the same conference as 2012 foes Liberty and Longwood (heh, Longwood). Interestingly, these guys are top-20 in field goal percentage, so I guess none of us should be shocked if we are annihilated by sharp-shooting 5-5 white guys right? Actually, High Point's top two scorers are both big men who get most of their points down low. Sic 'em Josh. If we don't beat High Point, it will definitely be the LOW POINT of our season *rim shot*

Another 9 pm tip. No clue what the logic is behind this scheduling decision. I guess it gives me more time to relax when I get home and have a nice dinner before settling in to watch this team hoist long 3s against another much shorter and girthier team.

These early season games really do nothing to get the nerves going. I am more nervous getting on the commuter train these days.

Nervousness Level: meh

- An Unbiased Perspective from Vegas:

The Line: Georgetown -17.5.

Oof.  17.5 points is a shit-ton of points and I suspect (read: hope dammit please) that this will be a relaxing game throughout. The 17.5 point margin is just about where I would have put the Lipscomb line and the Hoyas covered that one, and without Allan Chaney I don't see how High Point keeps this game marginally competitive.  This is the game that Bradley Hayes will get his first basket as a Hoya.  Mark it down.

The pick is Georgetown -17.5.  Final score Hoyas 75 - Panthers 53.

Casual Hoya is 4-1 ATS this season.

Overall 78-45-1.
