Breaking: Greg Whittington Dismissed From Team

Georgetown forward Greg Whittington has been dismissed from the team. Whittington, who was suspended last season for academic reasons and is out this season after tearing his ACL over the summer, has played his last game as a Georgetown Hoya.

WASHINGTON - Georgetown University Head Men's Basketball Coach John Thompson III announced today that junior forward Greg Whittington (Columbia, Md./Oakland Mills) has been dismissed from the team.

Whittington, who has not played during the 2013-14 season while recovering from knee surgery this past summer, averaged 12.1 points and 7.0 rebounds in 13 games last season.
