Marcus Derrickson, a 4-star 6'7" power forward in the Class of 2015, has committed to Georgetown. Derrickson is the 56th ranked player in the 2015 Class and the top-ranked power forward in Virginia.
I'm proud to announce that I am officially a Georgetown Hoya! I look forward to playing for Coach Thompson and joining the team.— Marcus Derrickson (@Marcus_D24) October 26, 2013
Derrickson attended last night's Hoya Tip-Off Party at McDonough and is Georgetown's first commitment in the Class of 2015.
He picked Georgetown over Indiana and Maryland, according to Paul VI coach Glen Farello
"He's a stretch 4 that isn't afraid to mix it up around the basket," Farello told SNY.tv. "He's a tough gritty competitor with range out to 23 feet."
Not afraid to mix it up!
Range out to 23 feet!
Kudos to the staff for securing Derrickson's commitment early as his stock is sure to rise next season as he develops even further.
Welcome to the Hilltop, Marcus Derrickson!
