Markel Starks Named All Big East Preseason 1st Team

Today is Big East Media Day in NYC, and lots of neat tidbits regarding regular season All-Conference Teams and predictions will flow in throughout the day.  First up is the All Big East Preseason First Team, which wonderfully includes Georgetown point guard Markel Starks.

Creighton's Doug McDermott has been named the Big East preseason player of the year.

In the annual preseason poll of the coaches as to how the Conference will play out, the Hoyas are predicted to finish 2nd behind Marquette:
