Peanut Gallery: Georgetown Hoyas vs. Marquette Eagles

What some Hoyas are thinkin' about the Hoyas.

I take it there might be some people hoping that the start of Big East play means there will be a new artist anchoring the Blog DJ. Sorry. THAT IS NOT HOW IT WORKS. REM stays as long as the Hoyas are winning. And the Hoyas are winning. So relax.

I wrote a bunch of stuff but then Gmail deleted it, awesome. Therefore, this gets to be really short because I'm too lazy to write everything again. Even though you guys all seem to like the Marquette blogosphere, I do not share this love with the basketball team. Buzz is an annoying little fly. Hey, Buzz...fly...weeeeird. Anyway, I hate Buzz, and even though DJO and King of the Floppers are no longer with the team, I still have ample hate for Junior Cadougan, Todd Mayo, and Vander Blue. I get scared for Marquette games now and even though they're not ranked, they're still gonna be tough to beat, especially on the road. How about we do everyone a favor and start conference play with a win, ok? That way when we get blown out at home by Pitt (again), we won't look so terrible. Game's at 2 (instead of NOON) so I get to sleep in, hooray! Gonna watch the game with my pops probably, we'll see how much he knows about Georgetown basketball. Deuces.

Great start to 2013 for JahidiLikesPie, who had over two weeks to submit this perspective but couldn't get it in on time. My guess is that he's both really nervous and really drunk, which makes today no different for him than any other day.

So, to keep y'all entertained, here's the greatest Hoya Rival Reels effort ever:

- An Unbiased Perspective from Vegas:

The Line: Marquette -3.

I don't like the number 13. Friday the 13th, A-Rod, and now we're in 2013 and everything is about to go to shit. Thankfully, we're playing Marquette, who can't score against a zone defense. I fully expect the Hoyas to come out rusty and struggle throughout, but I'll take 3 points on the nationally ranked powerhouse blue and gray and I've already spent the winnings.

The pick is Georgetown +3. Final score: Hoyas 66 - Golden Gimps 63.

Casual Hoya is 6-2 ATS this season.
Overall 62-36-1.
