Louisville Emerges As Contender To Land 2013 F Akoy Agau

According to this article, Rick Pitino and Louisville have emerged as a serious contender to land 2013 F Akoy Agau. Agau, a 6'8" power forward out of Nebraska, is currently ranked #46 in ESPN's Top 100 Recruits in the Class of 2013 and was previously considered to be a heavy Georgetown lean. In the surprisingly in-depth interview, Agau discusses his visit to Louisville and his other visits which include West Virginia, Baylor, Mississippi State, Memphis and DePaul.

One point of silver lining for the Hoyas could be the snippet below:

The Courier-Journal: So you are going to Georgetown for Midnight Madness, correct? October 12?

Akoy Agau: Yes.

Highlights of Agau after The Jump:

Though Georgetown currently has a whopping zero scholarships in 2013, Otto Porter's possible departure to the NBA after this season and questions surrounding the availability of power forward Tyler Adams due to health concerns would create space.

Louisville has been very active on the recruiting trail of late, landing JUCO star point guard Chris Jones earlier this week.
