"Oh man, I am so sorry to see Syracuse leave the Big East" - No One.
Off to the ACC!
In a move that will finally silence the endless whining from our rivals to the north, the Big East has agreed to let Syracuse join the ACC beginning in July 2013 in exchange for a fee of $7.5 million.
"This closes a chapter and opens a new one filled with exciting possibilities for the Big East's future. With the recent addition of eight schools to the Big East, the future for the Conference has never been brighter," said Joe Bailey, the Interim Commissioner of the Big East.
You bet it does! Au revoir, Syracuse. I join the rest of the Big East in looking forward to your slow and hopefully painful decline towards irrelevancy. However in the interim, we've got two more games left in which to kick some Orange ass.
