Selection Sunday: Nerlens Noel Visits Georgetown as Hoyas Find Out 2012 NCAA Tournament Fate

It is an understatement to say that today is a big day for Georgetown. As the Hoyas gather in Leo's to find out what seed and where they will be sent in the 2012 NCAA Tournament, the team will be joined by hundreds of current students and the #1 ranked center in the Class of 2012, Nerlens Noel. Welcome to Selection Sunday, the greatest day of the year.

Unlike numerous teams that are still unsure whether they will receive an invitation to compete in this year's Dance from the Tournament Selection Committee, due to an excellent regular season your Hoyas are firmly in the field and the only remaining questions are what seed they will be and who will be so foolish as to be thrown in Georgetown's path on their way to New Orleans.

More after The Jump:

The Hoyas are projected to be a 3 seed or a 4 seed, and frankly it doesn't really matter. Yes, a 3 seed is likely to get a "weaker" 1st round opponent than a 4 seed, but I think we MORE THAN ANYONE know that none of that matters. What matters is winning at least one game in this Tournament, and today our opponents in the best college sports tournament of the year will be revealed in often spectacularly dramatic fashion.

After the brackets are finally revealed and we all begin to search for cheap flights from our mother's basements to exotic locales such as Nashville, Portland or even dreary Pittsburgh, head over to Yahoo and sign up for the Yahoo!
