Peanut Gallery: Georgetown Hoyas vs. Indiana Hoosiers

What some Hoyas are thinkin' about the Hoyas.

View from the Student Section - A Youthful Perspective from Campus:

Wow, what a game! Tombs was extra Casual last night (however, not nearly as Casual as Iron Horse, I'm sure), so I might just finish this lab report extra early and hit it up again tonight! I'll admit, I spent the majority of the second half wondering when the Hoyas would finish their collapse, but our guys just wouldn't let it happen. I am so excited to see these guys step up against a big time opponent. So, I'm super stoked to see how they come out tonight. That win against UCLA was the statement we needed.

In my opinion, anything that happens tonight is gravy. Would I REALLY love to see Georgetown come out as Legends Classic Champions? You bet your ass. Do I think they can pull it off? Yes, but I think it would require just as great of a game as was played tonight ALONG with something being done about Hopkins. The guy just doesn't look like he has it all together down there. Granted, Indiana won't throw a 350-lb offensive lineman at him like UCLA did, but the turnovers and missed bunnies are getting to be a problem. You don't play the #1 team in the country every day, and the team needs to take full advantage of this opportunity. Either way, what was once a combination of worry and frustration has now become a collection of encouragement and hope. FINISH WHAT YOU STARTED. HOYA SAXA!

View from the Court Side Seats - A Wise Perspective from OldHoya:

OldHoya is still asleep after last night's epic win which was washed down with some nice Grimaldi's pizza and alcoholic libations. These late games are tough sledding for OldHoya and older Hoyas alike, but nothing would be finer than celebrating a win against Indiana with an old school bender in Brooklyn.

Well, slap my ass and call me Charlie! I was wrong and I couldn't be happier about it. Speaking of wrong, I left my house at 4am this morning to drive to DC for meetings today. That drive was NOT fun and the Beltway is still a miserable way to spend your Tuesday morning. I can't believe people actually have to drive in that. I would have a heart attack within a week, if I had to sit in it every day. Commuter trains is just a more civilized way to travel. Especially ones with Bar Cars.

I am not really optimistic about facing IU and the 18th Zeller kid. How did these guys get the #1 ranking? Did I miss something in the off-season? Maybe I am getting too old and FAT to care about recruiting and AAU and all of the other nonsense that most of nerds on this site check out when isn't basketball season. You know what I do care about??? A 10 PM tip! WHO SCHEDULES THAT? Isn't this the championship game of the ALL MIGHTY PROGRESSIVE CHALLENGE???!!?? Why can't they make Georgia and UCLA play during Ellen or Steve Harvey's Show or even that lame dude from Survivor??!

I think it is safe to say that I am 'Oh Shit' Nervous about this game. I want to be proven wrong, but I really have a bad taste in my mouth after the Duquesne and Liberty stinkers.

I also don't have a clue what I just wrote. I have had 2 monster and 4 Diet Cokes, and it is 9 AM.

Just real nervous...

Look, I'll be honest, Billy Idol was picked for a three-game arc, MAX. This guy's catalog isn't deep enough for a four game win streak. Oh wait. OR IS IT?

Sweat. Sweat. Sweat. Sweat. Sweat. Sweat. Sweat. Sweat. Sweat.

The Line: Indiana -9.5. Over/under 138.

What! You mean I can take the Hoyas and get nearly 10 points? Sign me the fuck UP. Where we're gong, we don't need...roads.
